I. Meet with Pudong Hi-Tech Delegation (12/10)

A delegation from Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang High-Tech Park will give a
seminar at Stanford University this Sunday about the business opportunities
and their privileged policies, particularly for High-Tech Startups, in
Shanghai Pudong.
Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang High-Tech Park provides the best policies and
services in China for high-tech startups. Anyone who are interested in
learning about the great opportunities there, please feel free to attend
this seminar.

II. NACSA Annual Meeting and Final Seminar of Year 2000 (12/10)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Dec.10, 2000, NACSA will have its annual meeting and the final seminar of
year 2000. A special delegation of China University Alumni Association
(CUAA)
headed by its secretary in general will come from Beijing to attend this
event.
Fei, Xiao-Tong is the president and Wang, Guang Mei is the president in
honor
for CUAA.
As the Internet cooling off rapidly, Optical and wireless remains white-hot
and
continues to burgeon. At the meeting, we have invited Dr. Sheau Chen,
founder
and Chairman of WaveSpliter Technologies, a pre-IPO optical company in
Fremont,
to give a keynote speech. Dr. Chen pioneered the research in many excimer
laser
process development works. He joined XMR in 1988 and led the management
buyout
of XMR from Amoco in 1991. From 1996 and June 2000, he served as CEO and
president of WaveSplitter. Dr. Chen received his BS degree in chemistry from
National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan and his Ph.D. in physical chemistry
from
Texas A&M University in 1984.

III. Report on 12/3 Hiking Trip: 5 Great Miles in Woods

Five great miles walking in the woods of Huddart Park proved to be a lot
of exercise and fun! Many thanks to our great organizers Jenny & Connie.

Tennis Meet
===========
Time: Sunday afternoons (~4 pm)
Place: Rengstorff Park, Mountain View
Direction: 101 to Mountain View, exit south Rengstorff, pass
Central Expressway. Rengstorff Park is on your left
hand side. The tennis courts are located at the
south-east corner of the park.

Basketball Meet

onto Meadow (next traffic light). After 200m, hit
Waverly and park there. Mitchell Park is on right
hand side.
